We Use The Gear That We Sell

At Alamo Tactical we constantly test and evaluate the equipment that we sell in the most realistic conditions that we can (while still maintaining any real quality of life). That means testing packs with realistic loads and wearing them over combat gear as well as testing Load Bearing gear with Full Combat Loads in all of the pouches and SAPI plates in the carriers. We test Rifle Cases and Packs with a variety of loadouts and weapons systems set up in numerous configurations in order to be able to advise the end user of the various strengths and shortcomings of the systems on the market.
We use ‘Full Combat Loads’ of Fully Loaded Magazines, Fully Weighted Dummy Frag and Smoke Grenades, Radios and Batteries to simulate a realistic combat load while running or hiking back trails in local parks or while live fire training at the range. Anything less would be inadequate for exposing the strengths and weaknesses of the gear or the techniques used for mounting or employing the gear. This allows us to make honest recommendations from our experience with the gear in the conditions it is meant to be used under as well as being able to weed out some of the gear on the market which is substandard or just useless ‘Hollywood Gear’.

Alamo Tactical's Internet Store and Retail Store prices are not always the same. We hope that our local customers will understand the realities of doing business as a retail location and that we cannot maintain a store front location for the same pricing as an internet store.
We will make every attempt to maintain competitive pricing with other local stores, but if you value the chance to come in and look at the products before you buy them as well as the chance to interact with a staff that has spent a large number of hours evaluating the items in the store then please support the local showroom so that we can provide those opportunities to you.

We have recently moved into a new location on IH 35 North approximately .5 mile North of Brook Army Medical Center (BAMC) or Exit 163 and about .5 mile South of Rittiman Rd. We are still having internet and phone (as well as electrical) issues in the new location.
